PhD Candidate
Mariano Ramirez Montero
I'm Mariano, a PhD candidate at the Cognitive Robotics department of the TU Delft in the Netherlands. I have experience with manipulation and imitation learning, and my current line of work aims to use non-linear dynamical systems as a tool in machine learning algorithms. For example, in a reservoir computing setting, but also as a useful prior to structure latent spaces to learn complex dynamics.
About me
I am passionate about developing algorithms that enable robots to learn complex manipulation tasks from human demonstration and feedback. I have experience in programming real robot controllers and fitting machine learning models. My controllers for Franka-Emika robots are deployed in my different university around the world and supporting research of scientistis and students. I am a team player and I enjoy working in a multidisciplinary environment. I am looking for a position where I can apply my skills and knowledge to develop innovative solutions for real-world problems in robotics and machine learning. Welcome to my creative journey. My work is a testament to my commitment to bringing ideas to life, where each pixel becomes a brushstroke in the canvas of imagination.
I find inspiration in the world around me, whether through the pages of a captivating novel, the intricate details of typography, or the vibrant hues of nature during my outdoor escapades.
